Hillary Needs to Give Up!
March 12, 2008 -- Now that Obama has won Mississippi, he has erased the delegate margin gain Hillary Clinton claimed last week. Now, to win the nomination, Hillary would have to take the remaining dozen or so primaries with a minimum vote percentage of 64.
64%!
She has only gotten that high a vote in one state, Arkansas, where she was a shoe-in as one-time resident of the State House, when her husband Bill was governor.
In other words, she cannot win without -- frankly -- dirty tricks, or a miracle. The miracle -- read, "scandal for Obama" -- will not happen. And if she resorts to the dirty trick of going to the Democratic Convention and lobbying delegates and super-delegates to vote against the will of the people and nominate her, she will not win in November.
Many of Obama's supporters would turn away from Hillary. If she takes the nomination by lobbying, I personally will not vote for her.
Her efforts are futile.
Hillary, for the good of the party and the country, give up!

If she cares at all for the party she's a member of she will exit gracefully. But I have no expectation that that will happen. I hope she does and hope this small gathering will add some weight to the effort to talk reason to her.
