It's Hillary On The Phone About Election Day....
My phone hasn't stopped ringing for two days and it seems it's always Hillary Clinton on the other end. I know because she told me so.
Hillary in the News and official Vote For Hillary Clinton campaign blogs, polical websites online with biography, trivia and satire on the former first lady, and yet President Bill Clinton's wife, a New York Senator was calling me!
I pick up like I always do and she says "Hi, it's Hillary I'm just calling to remind you to vote for me for President of the United States tomorrow in the primary elections...."
I was going to tell her that my vote on Super Tuesday and Election Day 2008 is private but I didn't get a chance to. She just went on and on about how serious the issues are and how important my public opinions are. I tried to tell her my opinion but Hillary just kept talking!
She said she has ideas about the war in Iraq and wants to bring the troops home, duh like any American doesn't! If only we could figure out how to do all that without the terrorists striking back, hmmmm?
Oh and the enviornment, global warming political issues, she is definitely concerned about them too and wants me to know my opinions count - but I couldn't get a word in to tell her what my opinions ARE!
But she reminded me again "Remember it's me Hillary Clinton and I respect you......." I was going to ask if she could respect my privacy and maybe stop calling so often but tomorrow is the Primary Elections in NJ, Super Tuesday, WOW so with all this democracy, really I have no choice! Unless I take the phone off the hook, I'm going to have Mrs. Clinton call me again and again.....this could be a very long 2008 Election year!

I called Hillary Back After The Nightly News Reports
But She Was On The Letterman Show!
I'm sure she'll call back again tomorrow though! Good move on her part playing the Giants win to score some NY votes. Hesitation on her part when Dave asked her if she had a beer while "looking" at the game....it's tough being a politician and figuring out which answer might offend someone!Hillary proudly stated her supporters have raised over $100 million dollars in campaign funds and Kudos to Dave on pointing out that maybe that amount of money could have fed some of the 35 million people that are going hungry in the US. Clintons reply - if the money is used to elect someone who cares about the hungry people when they are President it will be money well spent. Check your next grocery bill and see if it adds up!
President Bill Clinton Called Me....
What An Honor!
Bill phoned me on Super Tuesday too and his call to me was important! I know because he told me so. He said that Hillary asked him to call because my vote for her is important and she would end the war in Iraq and rebuild the economy for me. I was going to ask him how she was going to tackle the healthcare problem since she wasn't able to successfully when he was president and that was her issue to solve as first lady but I didn't get a chance to.I guess he didn't have alot of time to talk, the campaign trail is a busy place!
President Bill Clinton as the First Man?
How Would He Influence The Men in America?
I was discussing with my daughter, Cindy how the first lady in the past has had a significant influence on the USA. Jacqueline Kennedy's fashion became the hit of a decade and women everywhere copied her hats, fashion, style and grace. The lovely wife of Ronald Reagan, Nancy promoted drug awareness for children and gave women voice to protect their own. The incredible Eleanor Roosevelt influenced women to become independant, speak out and defied segregation issues boldly for the era.I wondered what influence Bill Clinton would have on the men in America? My daughter's answer was she thought he would be a VERY POPULAR First Man with men everywhere following in his footsteps and cheating on their wives!
Wow, times have changed.
Hillary Clinton Calls Just Keep Coming
It's Super Tuesday!
It's primary election day in NJ and at 10:30 am the presidential candidate hopeful called me back AGAIN! She said she is going to rebuild the war in Iraq and deal with so many important issues. I asked how but she said well, she said she hopes I'll vote for her today! I told her it depends on which pants suit she will wear at the Inauguration but she didn't want to discuss it!
Uh oh, things must be heating up on the campaign trail. At 10:45 am Hillary Clinton asked her worker (I know because she told me!) to call me personally.
She wanted to know point blank if I was voting for Hillary Clinton today. Sheesh, so much for privacy! Wait gotta run, the phone is ringing.....

Well done! If someone wants my vote, they have to start earning it when they're 21 years old, not by ringing my phone every 12 hours to plead with me. (and welcome to Lensmaster Soup group!) Posted February 11, 2008 |

Vote....Because You Can!
American Duty and Responsibility
I will vote in the Presidential Elections for 2008. It is a big deal, a huge responsibility and an honor that Americans have and still fight for. Don't vote for the candidate who calls your home most often. Or for the one who wears the prettiest clothes or overreacts and gets sympathy. Get to know the candidates! Are you a Democrat or Republican? Either way, read and listen for yourselves what they believe in. What are the issues and where do they stand. Watch TV debates, read the newspapers and GOOGLE any question you can think of.
Because it is your right. You have a big decision to make before you hand the USA over to someone new, so think carefully, do your homework and go to the November Elections prepared!

Did You Know....
- Election Day is the Tuesday on or after November 2nd
Voting for the office of United States President is held every four years.
November was selected because the harvest work was done.
Tuesday was selected because many people had to travel the day before to reach the polling place. Since most people did not travel on Sunday for religious reasons, they did not want it to be on a Monday.
They did not want Election Day to fall on November 1st because it is All Saints Day.
They did not want Election Day to fall on the first of the month because many shop keepers did their books for the preceding month on the first.
I googled all this info, I'm just not clear on who THEY were! Did THEY take a vote?
