Hiring a Freelance Writer to Rewrite Your PLR Articles

Ranked #6,580 in Books, Poetry & Writing, #237,234 overall

Why Should You Hire a Freelance Writer to Rewrite Your PLR Articles?

You may be wondering why you should have to hire a freelance writer if you have already spent money on a package of PLR (private label rights) articles or other content for your website?

Well, to sum it all up: other customers have purchased the same content and although you have bought the rights to use the material in any way you see fit, search engines will penalize you for including content on your website that is identical to other sites.

You will be marked as "duplicate content" and your site will not rank well for the keywords in your articles.

There are two main reasons why you will want to avoid these penalties. The first is that search engines are what people mainly use to find sites on the internet, and if you don't show up in Google then no one will ever know your site exists.

The second part is that without website visitors and traffic, your site cannot be a success or generate any profit. So let's discuss this important topic a little more, and explore your different options.

The Benefits of Hiring a Freelance Writer

Why would you want to hire a freelance writer to rewrite the articles you've purchased? Here are a few of the greatest advantages of going this route.

  • 1

Save Time: Rewriting articles is time-consuming, and as a busy professional you may not have much to spare. It may not be too difficult for you to rewrite shorter articles (up to 500 words or so) but this is assuming you are a relatively proficient writer and even if you are, longer articles will demand significant amounts of your time.

  • 2

Better Quality: Again, you may be a good writer but chances are that a freelance writer has more experience with this particular task and will likely produce a higher quality end result than you will if you choose to invest the time in rewriting all of your material without any help. Sometimes it's a better decision to stick to the part of your business that you know best, and find the right people to help you for the parts which aren't within your area of expertise.

  • 3

Telecommute Opportunities: Thanks to the internet, you're not limited to hiring local writers and you have the option of finding a remote freelancer who you can work with exclusively online. Skype is the best tool for communicating with members of your team who are located in different parts of the world.

  • 4

Competitive Rates: Due to the high volume of freelance writers on the web, the rates for hiring one for your project are very competitive and you have plenty of opportunities to find a professional writer who is willing to work within your budget

The Value of High-Quality Content

Article Marketplace

If you own a business or a website, you definitely need strong and well written content in order to attract traffic to your site.

Traffic = profit, whether directly or indirectly.

Several studies have shown that content matters most to site visitors over any other element of your website, making it crucial!

To learn more about this concept, I suggest reading an article titled, "Content Is Still King, But Only if You're Playing Chess"

Important!

Remove Filler Text

Since the majority of PLR articles are written by freelance writers who are paid by the word, they are unnecessarily verbose and need to be trimmed down. You should remove parts of the articles that are overly repetitive.

Tips for Rewriting Your Articles

  • 1

Make sure that your rewritten content is AT LEAST 60% unique from your PLR articles.

  • 2

A good rule to go by as you are rewriting is "no four words the same." What this means is that you try your best not to use any four consecutive words from the PLR article when you rewrite the content. The only exception to this is when keywords are present.

  • 3

Use a tool like JetChecker to test the uniqueness of your rewritten material.

  • 4

For practice, sign up for Amazon's Mechanical Turk as a worker and search for "rewrite" to find tasks that will be helpful for mastering the art of rewriting content.

  • 5

To ensure that your website isn't marked as duplicate content by search engines and subsequently penalized, buy some credits for CopyScape Premium and run a test to make sure that your rewrite passes.

  • 6

Read through your rewrite to make sure that it is keyword-rich. Have you included the keywords that you want your site to rank well for?

  • 7

Think of keywords as the search terms people will enter into search engines when looking for a site like yours. If you're not sure what your keywords are, it's easiest to answer the question: What is the topic of your article/site? Those are your keywords.

I like your lens :) Many people buy these articles and think they are going to get great results with them. They don't understand how Google punishes them. Personally, I have thousands of PLR articles that I have gotten for free from various sources. I'm always rewriting them for my blogs, article directories, and clients. Usually they can just tell the topic and keywords and I can find something in my article db that will fit the bill. I do the first one free as well. I'm curious what do you charge for rewrites? Since I can whip out 500 word articles pretty quickly I charge $2 a piece. My rates are considerably higher for original pieces.

I'm flattered by your comment, it means a lot to me that you consider my services so valuable. I like to offer a free demo of my writing skills only to provide new clients with a risk-free way of getting to know me, if you will. I find that the majority of them come back to do business with me in the future, which is my ultimate goal. I also hope to one day have earned a positive and widely-known reputation so that I no longer need to offer any of my services for free.

Thank you kindly for the comment. :-)
