You might know Tamaki Hiroshi best as Chiaki Shinichi in Nodame Cantabile but when he's not bantering with co-star Juri Ueno who plays Nodame in the series, the handsome Tamaki is also a popular actor, singer, and model in Japan.
He is well known for his roles in many dramas and movies, particularly Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru and Love Shuffle. Tamaki is also a recording artist and has already released several albums of his music.
I first came to know of Tamaki through his role as Nodame's love interest Chiaki-senpai in the award-winning live action J-drama version of Nodame Cantabile in 2006 but it turns out that I've already watched him long ago in the hilarious 2001 film Waterboys.

Megumi Noda, or "Nodame," is a piano student at Momogaoka College of Music. Although she is an extremely talented pianist who can play by ear, she can't read music. The Nodame Cantabile-Shinobu Naguchi Movie Connection
A bit of trivia for all of you Nodame Cantabile fans.
In 2001, Nodame Cantabile cast members veteran actor Naoto Takenaka (Maestro Stresseman) and a relatively unknown Tamaki Hiroshi (Chiaki) appeared together in a Shinobu Naguchi film called Waterboys. Three years later, Takenaka was cast together with newcomer Juri Ueno (Nodame) in another Naguchi film titled Swing Girls. Both films reaped awards and helped launch the careers of Nodame Cantabile's two leads.

- wow...i am very impressed!!!! I became a tamaki hiroshi fan after watching Nodame Cantabile (after I watched the anime version) and now there are so many of his works in my house, cds,dvds, everything!!! I am also hooked on Guilty and though he looked much older with the messy hairdo and moustache, he's still very attractive and did his role very convincingly as mashima. I think he is a very versatile still young actor, gifted, hard-working, very good vocals, speaking and singing, I believe he will enjoy greater success. I hope to see him in person one day. LOL He got me into studying Japanese. LOLOLOL
