Pop some history right into your DVD player!
As a member of a generation (known as Generation Y) often accused of apathy and ignorance, I find that such negative commentary often fuels my interest in learning about history, due to a desire to prove those people wrong. Fortunately for me, and for those of you who feel the same, ADHD Entertainment has brought us a wonderful resource for doing so: Historic DVDs! Browse our easy to use website to find the product you are looking for. With many categories to choose from: famous events, great disasters, early Soundies, classic Betty Boop cartoons, classic commercials, Buster Keaton's comedy and much more...see how the early pioneers created and shaped the way for many of the inventions and entertainment we still use today!
We have professionally produced DVDs with free shipping in the USA! Please allow two weeks for delivery. We accept Paypal and credit cards for payment.

**The reviews and descriptive blurbs that are on the site for each DVD were not all written by the same person and I did not write any of them, so I cannot vouch for any of their opinions--that said, many of them relate the footage to their own experience in their hometowns, so they are more valuable than any blurbs I may have written.**
Also brought to you by ADHD Entertainment: ADHD Records! ADHD Records spotlights fresh, innovative young artists of the Generation XYZ variety--including BRockDaMic. BRockDaMic, or B-Rock as he is often called, is a young, brilliant voice in the art of hip-hop.

General History
We could all use some extra knowledge.
The vast majority of the DVDs in our collection highlight broad enough historical events and movements that all Americans would relate to the information and commentary therein. One category that I find particularly interesting is industry: there are documentary films on the history of the automobile industry (I would say that this is pretty pertinent right now, what with the Big 3 Bailout Debacle of 2008-09), as well as the trucking and mining industries, and the way that these were developed and woven into the fabric of our everyday lives. With the TARP situation and just about every industry in our nation itching for a bailout, the genesis of these industries as the foundation of the American economy is a subject about which we could all stand to learn more. There are also documentaries on railroads, manufacturing, aviation and various labor strikes that had a high impact.
There are also a number of films on major events and disasters in our history, from the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake to the 1923 Berkeley Fire, and several war documentaries, primarily about the Second World War.

Localized History
A bit of fun and information for the local yokels.
Historic DVDs also caters to some localized history which will be of interest to those who live there, as well as those who have specific fascinations with certain areas of the United States. As we are a New York-based company, many of these deal with New York City--there is a film recorded at the Apollo Theater in Harlem that highlights the shockingly racist entertainment of the 1930s, as well as a few documentaries on the city itself, various Manhattan landmarks, Coney Island and some of the more well-known towns on Long Island. It even includes an interesting look at a Memorial Day parade that was held in the small town of Cornwall, NY (Orange County) in 1920.Along with these, the category "Cities and States" provides films dealing with Detroit, Norristown & Doylestown (Pennsylvania), Niagara Falls, Chicago, a poignant view of pre-Katrina New Orleans dating back to the height of jazz, Denver, and an in-depth look at the history of the state of Alaska: from Seward's folly to the process through which it became our 49th state.

Entertainment
The entertainment industry through the years.
My favorite categories pertain to the entertainment industry and the way it has transformed through the years, due to changing culture, social values and technology. It includes vintage cartoons including the classics Betty Boop, Felix the Cat and Popeye. It also includes vintage reels of the comedy of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Eddie Cantor, and a look at the frightening racism that was embraced by American entertainment for far too long. There are classic short films like "Who Killed Doc Robin" and features like Bowery Blitzkrieg, along with documentaries on the histories of the television and radio industries, classic commercials and a few looks into the world of fashion.
