All about beer
"If I had all the money I'd spent on beer, I'd spend it on beer". (W.C. Fields)
A lot has been written about beer. Beer gives pleasure to millions whilst dividing opinion regarding its health effects and the potential "damaging effect" on society.
The purpose of this blog is to compile fascinating information on beer, perhaps dispel some myths and of course to encourage debate. I also hope to publish information alerting visitors to reviews, events, and beer happenings all over the world. I hope to point visitors to the new, the traditional, the social and the funny. From the social history of imbibers to the technicalities of brewing. Please enjoy and most of all please contribute.

Man walks into a pub database
I can strongly recommend 'A man walks into a pub' a sociable history of beer by Pete Brown. http://www.manwalksintoapub.com/book.htmHis book looks at the history of pubs from a social and human perspective. The book also features a few 'man walks into a pub' classic jokes. Here is one of them.
This white horse walks into a pub and asks for a pint of lager. The barman looks at him and says, "'Ere, we've got a whisky named after you." The white horse looks confused and says, "What - Dobbin?"
So this led me to think why not try and compile and exhaustive list of 'man walks into a pub joke' so please post yours and I will try and gather them all to publish as one blog.
While we are also on the theme of horses here is my all time favourite. A horse walks into a pub and the barman says, "so why the long face?"
Please send you man walks into jokes as I want to compile the biggest database of them

- People who drink beer and enjoy it thoroughly always have a great sense of humor. Beer drinkers probably invented the joke. Calling them beer jokes is kinda rendundant. I love beer and proclaim it here at microbrew reviews

- I thought you would like this:
The beer drinker's prayer
Our beer
Which art in bottles
Hallowed by thy sport
Thy will be drunk I will be drunk
At home as it is in the pub
Give us each day our daily schooners
And forgive us our spillage
As we forgive those who spillest against us
Andlead us not into the practice of poofy wine tasting
And deliver us from Tequila
For mine is the bitter
The talent and the footy
Forever and ever
Barmen.
