HMS Belfast
The floating museum
HMS Belfast served as a battleship in World War Two, and even took part in the D-Day landings. She then served in the Korean War supporting British and American forces. Expected to be scrapped in the sixties, she was instead moved to a permenant mooring by Tower Bridge and opened to the public as a floating museum. She is now part of the Imperial War Museum, and one of London's most famous landmarks.
When she was brought into her final mooring point, Tower Bridge opened fully for her to pass through as a tribute to the ship's wartime service.

- This Cruiser is a great memorial to the thousands who died on the Arctic convoys. She has recently received a partial restoration by Russian steelworkers with Russian steel, in recognition of her service in support of Russia's war effort in WWII. Must pay her a visit sometime - great history lesson.
