The Hohner company was founded in Germany by Matthias Hohner, a young German fellow who at age 24 founded the company in 1857. The company was famous for it's world-class harmonicas and in fact, still is. The Hohner company and Bob Dylan recently announced the Bob Dylan Collection of hand-signed harmonicas.
Hohner Guitars only began production in the 1970s. They now produce a full range of acoustic, electric and bass guitars.

The Hohner Telecaster, made famous by Prince, is a model of electric guitar designed by an English Luthier in the early 1970s. The Hohner has been used by Prince and can be heard on many recordings. All his early albums from "For You" to "Prince", "Dirty Mind", "Controversy", "1999" and "Purple Rain" where (mostly) recorded with the Hohner Telecaster !
