The Holga 135 Camera - Best 35mm Holga?
Read this review before spending your money on a Holga 135. A 35mm Holga is a great idea but there are much better options than the Holga 135, like the Holga 135BC, the Holga 135PC, or even a Holga 120 with a 35mm film adapter. There are a few reasons why the base 135 isn't "just like" a Holga that happens to take 35mm film, and if you're looking for that Holga Effect you might be disappointed with it. Before you buy a Holga, make sure you understand the differences between the different cameras they offer. This pages explains the differences and helps you decide which Holga camera is right for you.

Holga 135
Just your basic 35mm Holga camera...
First, the Holga 120's 60mm lens gives nice, wide angle pictures with 120 film, but the 47mm lens and 35mm film the Holga 135 uses give you a much narrower picture angle. Second, the smaller 35mm film doesn't give as much variation in focus across the image so you lose some of that famous Holga dreaminess. Third, the base 135 camera doesn't give you the vignetting that Holga cameras are famous for. Even so, people seem to like the Holga 135 and there lots of other reviews and pictures on line for you to check out before deciding to buy...
