Holiday Decorating - Dress Up Your Home in Autumn Colors With Seasonal Wreaths
New Text / Write module
Mini Lights to attract attention to your seasonal wreath and add a little extra to your seasonal decorating.
There are two different types of autumn wreaths that normally make their way into the home - homemade and purchased.
The first type can become a fun family affair (or even a tradition) where everyone participates in collecting the materials necessary. Make "wreath day" a special occasion to put on light coats and nature walk. Look for pine cones, seed pods and other interesting natural finds. The craft store can supply the wreath form of either green foam or grapevine, ribbon, glue and decorations. Use yellow, brown and orange leaves from outside as well as autumn blooming berries to make a great basis for the wreath itself. Hot glue is great for putting all the elements all together. You can even add battery powered lighting to this but it is a good idea to use led lighting, which is cooler and less likely to damage the fragile dry leaves.
There are also of course the store bought wreaths that can be used year after year. You can find these wreaths now at hobby stores as well as discount centers. Mini lights work great on these and you can use regular lights or
Led Mini Lights in order to brighten up these fall decorative additions. Thanksgiving and Halloween are great holidays to use autumnal themed wreaths. You can even go a step further and create a wreath specifically for Halloween. Using black and oranges or just adding a few traditional Halloween additions to a standard autumn wreath.
While you can purchase wreaths that are themed more towards Halloween it ,may require some additions in order to make it truly Halloween themed. Weaving orange and purple lights through the wreath or even using Halloween themed garlands can be a great addition to your project and can even make an excellent central piece when it comes to making up party decorations.
There are dozens of ways that you can make use of wreaths as part of a way to celebrate the changing of the seasons, add something special to the décor of your home for the season or just add a festive air to any Halloween or Holiday party. Adding mini lights can give your wreaths an extra special air and make them an integrated part of your party décor. Choose from either handmade or ready made wreaths to make the most of what the season or the latest sale has to offer. Be sure to use cooler led lighting if you are using raw materials or materials that are not heat resistant. Be sure to use common sense and turn off the mini lights when not in use.
