Are you Kitchen Challenged? Try CountryLuthier's Fantastically easy sausage dip

Ranked #15,023 in Food & Cooking, #263,586 overall

EASY to prepare dip that will make you the guy or gal that brings the good stuff!

Just an insanely easy to prepare dip with only three ingredients that can be prepared on most stoves by even the most kitchen challenged guy or gal. Look, the COUNTRYLUTHIER does this annually for celebrations and dinners. Enuff said about level of difficulty OK. It takes longer than popcorn, but man is it worth it!

We've all been there, whatcha gonna bring?

You can bring the COUNTRYLUTHIER'S fantastically easy party dip and be the life of the party. I call it two by two by two or 2X2X2 fantastically easy party dip for short. The name belies its great taste and simplicity in making. Two pounds of premium JImmy Dean's sausage, two cans of Rotel chili with cilantro and lime and two packs of Philadelphia cream cheese, tadaaaa, that is it! THe DIY chef can whip this up in less than hour.

Doing the do or making the dip

type=textPan brown two pounds of premium sausage, a Jimmy Dean's mild is my favorite or you can add hot if you are so inclined. Know the folks who will be eating the dip. Ensure the sausage is cooked in a large frying pan or stove top wok. Peparing the sausage will take about twenty minutes or so with lots of frequent turning. Ensure it is nice and brown and crumbly. Break it apart as it cooks with the edge of a spatula. Whenit is done, carefully, carefully, carefully drain any collected grease you can from the pan. Pour in the two cans of Rotel chili with cilantro and lime. Place the pan on low to medium. Allow the mix to simmer slightly. Lastly, stir in the two packs of Philadelphia cream cheese mixing into the mixture and stirring so that all three ingredients are homogenously distributed.

Allow to cool. Place the dip in a crock pot liner for storage until time to serve. That's it!

Nice lens but for those of us who don't know what is Rotel? Perhaps you could include a substitute for outsiders. Blessed and featured on Blessed by Skiesgreen 2012. Hugs

Any dip with sausage in it sounds good, but then I saw you had chilli with cilantro and lime and I was hooked for good. This really does sound like a great dip.

This sausage dip looks yumm-oh and fattening. Never thought to use Ro-tel but I'll give it a try.

i make my own dips also. it is cheaper, tastier and fresh. you know what ingredients are in there. yes, philadelphia cheese added to the dip makes a lot of difference. sometimes, i just eat the philly cheese without baguettes. thanks for sharing this lens.

Now this is not one of those picture perfect pretty dips, it doesn't have to be because it is amazing. The first time I tasted it, it was all I wanted and must have a a half cup of it before I was done and was still thinking about it the next day and was using those chips that have their own little cup....yummy! RoTel + Jimmy Dean Sausage + Cream Cheese = I want more!
