This is a delicious slow cooker recipe that will free up your stove and oven for cooking the side dishes. The slow cooker happily cooks all day so you don't have to. Ham is a good holiday meal choice and it makes great leftovers!

3 lb ham (may be larger if it will fit in your slow cooker)
4 cups apple cider
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
2 cups golden raisins

How to prepare this Ham and Apple Cider Holiday Recipe for the slow cooker

Place ham and cider in your slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
Remove ham from slow cooker and place in baking pan.
Mix up the sugar and mustard with a little hot cider and brush on to the ham.
Remove a cup of juice from the slow cooker and stir in the raisins.
Pour into the baking pan.
Bake at 375 degrees F. for 30 minutes or until the glaze has formed.

    I think I just found a new way to cook my Christmas ham. I usually bake it on Christmas Eve with with cloves, mustard and honey. This looks great - and so easy!
