Cuban Cigars - Cigars are perhaps one of Cuba's most widely recognisable goods that they produce. Cuban cigars are made all over the country and have a reputation for being the best quality cigars in the world. They can be bought in specialised Tabaco shops as well in the various markets in the cities. Although cheaper to buy them in markets quality cannot always be guaranteed, also when buying a larger amount, up to several boxes, the shops will give you an immigration ticket to ensure that the products don't get seized through immigration when returning home.


Rum - Another of Cuba's famous exports is rum, a spirit made from sugar cane and fermented. There are many different styles and types of rum that can be drunk as a mixer, on its own neat or in cocktails. The rums in Cuba will be called Ron Anejo, a Spanish variation for the word rum, with the most famous and popular being Havana Club Rum. The company produce a huge range of different rums, several you may not be able to find in the U.K., including Anejo Gran Reserva, which is aged in oak barrels for 15 years.


Cuban Coffee- Although not as widely known as other countries brands, Cuban coffee has a reputation for being one of the finest coffees in the world. It has only recently been imported to the U.K. for general sale and still isn't widely available. However it is possible to buy fresh beans from source that make some of the world's best cups of coffees and espresso's.


Cuban Beer - Another little known gem is the lager produced in Cuba. With a variety of brewers, some of the most popular beers are Cristal, Bucanero and Mayabe beer. They are similar to the more well-known Sol and Corona, and are perfect on hot summer days and a perfect accompaniment with barbeques.


Cuban Art - There are a huge amount of markets and stalls to shop for Cuban art pieces, from paintings to statues. The country's art has influences from Europe, Latin America and even Africa, mirroring the diversity and cultural complexity of Cuba itself.
