I really liked Lana Turner movies. I prefer most movies from the 40s and 50s to what they have today.

My absolute Hollywood era is this one..I don't know why but it seemed more..appropriate back then, like they were more classy in the things that they did, even though they were just as 'bad' as sex symbols today. Marilyn is my favorite & her book 'my story' is such a good read & then it cuts off because she passed when writing it..def. a good read if you haven't read it yet & are a fan

Really nice lens! I hope I don't get too many eggs tossed at me for this, but I really wasn't a Marilyn Monroe fan. But Veronica Lake? Va-Va-Voom! (Yikes! Did I really say that??) That was one glamorous lady. Thanks for the memories :-)

This lens captures an era in Hollywood history that evokes fond memories when starlets flock to Hollywood to seek out fame and fortune. The glamour of Hollywood still draws thousands of hopefuls seeking to fulfill their chilhood dreams of stardom.

Unfortunately the lure of Hollywood as been diminished by the digital age that can allow anyone to proclaim themselves as having talent and star power. However, Hollywood will always have that mystique that conjures the multitudes dreams of fame and fortune, regardless of the odds of "Making it in Hollywood".

When I saw this title I had to come and see, people will aspire to these ladies for years to come, they were the wonderful era, of glamour without all the rubbish of today! i would love to have been around then!
  • thesuccess Nov 10, 2010 @ 12:28 pm | delete
I think it was more glamorous because we weren't over-exposed to celebrity.

I have always loved old actresses, they were terrific. Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorites.

Wow Hollywood Glamour! Great lens. Thanks.

I really like this. Glamor and elegance is so much more alluring than letting it all hang out (in my opinion). I just got some Katherine Hepburn stamps - so much better than the usual junk they have.

Now this is a lens I can get excited about. Nothing is more sexy to me than the old-time actresses who were so very hot, sexy and left something to the imagination. Now I'm left wondering if that's "plastic" or this is "real" or those are "fake", etc. And there's nothing left to the imagination, that's for sure - you see it all now.

These women should be in the dictionary under the words beauty, class and elegance. They graced the stage and the world with their presence. There's many gorgeous women in Hollywood today, but they'll never hold a candle to the women of the golden age!
