Searching for Collectibles

Henry started off his collecting career at age 5 in 1973 when he was given his sister's comic books. 628 books to be exact now over 20,000 and still counting.

I was bitten by the collecting bug and my collections grew and grew. At one point I had over 300 Matchbox cars that I would play with ALL the time. I always took great care of my toys and stuff but one day I was out front at our house and I decided I needed a wrecked car to be in a crash scene I was playing and since all my cars were in really good shape I decided I would have to purposely wreck one so it would look like it was in a rollover.

As fate would have it, just as I raised a brick over an old Plymouth Fury my mom happened along. I don't know if I let go of the brick at my decision or at my mother's scream! Either way, I now had a smashed in car for my car crash scene but my mom had much more to say about that. I was hastily informed that if I cared so little for my possessions she would no longer buy me anymore.

It took weeks to convince her I was not a little hoodlum and was worthy of taking care of my stuff. Now looking back I realise how important that one defining moment was and how it began to mold my future lifestyle.

Many, many collections later I have found neat ways to look for items I've collected. I'm very tenacious when it comes to searching and feel I have a great deal of talent for it.

Now I'm looking to share that information with my fellow collectors and others who are just wanting a little help finding that certain little something. I've recently been collecting superhero banks, and the best part is I put money in them and then spend it on more collectibles! LoL.
