Home birth or hospital

Pregnancy was a fabulous time for me. Eating for two, my hair looked thicker than normal, no morning sickness and a time when people would be so friendly to me.

The eating for two sadly is not a good thing and I have advised my daughters that if they have children that they do not eat the entire contents of ones fridge! If only that were all I had eaten!

Chocolate, cakes and chips were my downfall and I ate it all. Of course I enjoyed eating during my pregnancies, but when I gave birth it was quite a shock to come face to face with a person in the mirror with whom I did not recognise. I should have realised that I would not go back to my original clothing because the babies were only a few pounds, the other fifty pounds was still there!

Diet and exercise finally got me back on track, but it is hard work and you have to be disciplined. I am sure that if I could go back in time I would tell myself to eat less and exercise during my pregnancies. It would have made life so much simpler and I would have had far more energy for all the running around that comes from having children.
