About Us

Right at Home North of Boston is a family owned and operated home care agency that started in 2002. We grew from one location to three locations serving all towns north of Boston. We provide all levels of private duty home care including companionship, personal care, home health aide and private nursing. We specialize in Alzheimer's and dementia care. Our aides go through sensitivity training to learn what it is like to experience physically and cognitively what our clients might experience. Right at Home is licensed by the Commonwealth of MA and carries all liability and workers comp insurances to protect clients and their families. All caregivers are background checked, tested and trained before they start to work for the agency. Rosaleen Dogherty, owner of Right at Home North of Boston, is pictured at right.

We are responsive and reliable. Right at Home is one of the few agencies north of Boston that use the Telephony time carding system. This system insures families that we are there with their loved one when we are scheduled to be there and alerts us if a caregiver is late. This system protects our clients 24 hours a day.

There are two basic types of care in the home-one is home health care and the other is homecare, also sometimes referred to as in-home care. The biggest difference between home health and homecare is that home health care is a higher level of care that is deemed medically necessary by a physician.

Home Health Care-

-Doctor prescribed (a physician has deemed it medically necessary for you or your loved one to receive care in the home)
-Skilled care (care is provided by nurses or health aides)
-Home health care nurses can administer medication
-Aid with activities of daily living (ADL)
