I have learnt out from the manager that they are going to buy more than 10 000 portable devices, which will help them to make telephone calls and stock shelves. I think this idea is really questionable, as people like to talk to real humans. It is quite understandable that it is hard to have so many people, working in your company, who will provide good customer service and consult people over the phone. Thus you would like to make it easy and buy some devices to make automatic calls. But as I am also a customer and deals with lots of companies the best way to contact customers is to talk to them directly. It's much more pleasant when you may talk to live person, but not some machine that has only certain amount of words and directions, but can't answer or solve your problem or just say: don't worry, everything will be ok. It's so simple and your customers need that so much! Just the human attitude! Plus it makes people angry when they hear all this mechanism to push this or that button on your phone to get there where you want. It is wonderful when you can ask the direct question and receive the direct answer.

But in general I am quite satisfied with the Home Depot customer service, they are quite attentive, whoever whatever says.
