Beautifully scented reed diffusers make a great alternative to scented candles. The scent from reed diffusers is constant and the fact that you don't have to keep a candle lit makes them perfect for all situations.

Once you've removed the lid from the diffuser and the reed straws are placed in the bottle, a mixture of fragrance and alcohol is released into the air through the stems. If you prefer a more intense fragrance all you need to do is to turn the stems upside down before placing them back in the bottle. We recommend flipping the reeds every fortnight for an even long lasting scent but if you prefer a more subtle fragrance, you can of course do this less frequently.

How Do You Set Up A Reed Diffuser?

After opening the bottle of fragrance it is best to arrange the reeds in the bottle, fanning them out as you would arrange a bunch of flowers. Alternatively, if you prefer you could always pour some of the fragrance liquid from the bottle into a receptacle of your choice before arranging the reeds as before.

How Long Will My Reed Diffuser Last?

A number of factors will affect how long your diffuser will last. For example, the more often you flip the stems the higher the level of evaporation and the less time your diffuser will last. Equally, atmospheric conditions - particularly air conditioned environments or very hot conditions - may accelerate evaporation. Nonetheless, with proper care and attention, you should expect your reed diffuser to last you many months..
