Total Gym 1700 Club
Total Gym 1700 Club Want to tone your entire body without buying a complete home gym? Check out the Total Gym 1700 Club, which helps you strengthen and sculpt every major muscle group in your body using a single glide board and a few handy attachments.
The Total Gym 1700 Club works by making you lift a percentage of your body weight against gravity, making the resistance smooth and fluid.
As your strength and conditioning improves, you increase the total resistance by boosting the incline, thus increasing the body weight lifted in the exercise.
The Total Gym 1700 Club thus not only works your upper body, but also your lower body, abdominals, and even your cardiovascular system.
And by reducing body fat and increasing the proportion of lean muscle mass in your body, the strength training effectively turns up the thermostat so that your body burns calories constantly.
Here's what one user has to say:
A 44-year-old woman that doesn't enjoy exercise writes this review. I spent many years as an overworked hospital administrator that did not take the time to keep myself in top physical condition.
I purchased this product after realizing that that it was used in the rehabilitation gyms in the hospital where I worked. The Physical Therapists not only used this equipment for their patients, but also worked out on the equipment themselves at lunchtime and after work.
You can get a great workout on this piece of equipment. Both my husband and myself use this piece of equipment.
Total Trainer DLX

The Total Trainer DLX is a great alternative to the Total Gym. See what people who have looked at both have to say! Read Total Trainer DLX reviews here.

Improvements include a more upright gym quality design to give you a superior positioning for your workout.
You will be able to change exercises more quickly with the Xtreme 2 because there is no need to change cables between exercises.
The Lat Tower has two adjustable positions allowing you to build your back and shoulders more quickly.

Max By Weider Ultra System
Max By Weider Ultra SystemOne word describes the Max by Weider--better. Better than free weights...better than other weight machines...and way better than fad diets or pills.
You'll get over 65 club quality exercises with a full 240 lbs. of resistance (upgrades to 440 lbs.). And the best part is--the Max comes complete with everything you'll need to get a total-body workout, including a lat tower, leg developer and rowing seat.
Here's what one reviewer has to say:
This is a great machine for the price. It's well built and solid. I have had mine for several years and use it regularly.
It's good for beginner to intermediate users. There are several exercises I have maxed out on, but between the machine and my dumbbells/barbells I get a great workout.
They do have a 100 or 200 pound upgrade, but I don't have it. The rods do sag over time and loose some resistance. I recommend keeping tension off of them while not in use.

Body-Solid EXM1500S Home Gym
Body-Solid EXM1500S Home GymCentered on a 160 Lb. weight stack adjustable in 10 Lb. increments, stacked neatly without plates and bars scattered about.
Simply insert a pin and begin! Seated on the firm, oversized, adjustable seat pad you can start by grabbing the multi-grip press arm or wrapping your legs over the comfortable foam rollers to rip through a set of thigh burning leg extensions.
Now, take hold of the Ab Strap and crunch your way to a washboard stomach. Spin around and reach for the 48" Lat Bar and work your shoulders and upper back.
Using the 20" Low Row Bar on the multi-purpose Low Pulley, you can perform Seated Rows, Arm Curls, Wrist Curls and more. Other exercises include Tricep Press Down, Standing Leg Curls, Bent Over Row, Inner and Outer Thigh, One Arm Cable Curl, and Standing Calf Raise.
One reviewer had this to say:
During High School and in the military, I did a lot of weight training. Ok, I'm not 16 nor 21 anymore. I'm now in my 40's and am an active cyclist, and skier. I bought this machine based upon the Consumer Reports write ups (it was rated number one) so my wife and I can quickly and easily do some strength training.

- Great, well laid out lens. I especially appreciate the reviews on different equipment, both the pros and cons. I especially appreciated the review from the overworked hospital administrator. If hospitals use this equipment, its work taking a closer look at. If you like, you can check out my blog Thanks again

- 5* Nice info! Home gym equipment is time efficient and a great way to increase the strength in the back of the
body - glutes, hams, calves, and low-back - the posterior chain. **Daily Workout Schedules**
