From the lens Real Women Love Power Tools.
I received my first tool gift when I was three years old. A carpenter who was building a family room in our home gave me a real hammer. We're not talking plastic Fisher-Price toy here. Apparently, I was quite mesmerized with all of the construction activity. I'm pretty sure that is when the DIY seeds were planted in my life. How I loved that hammer! And, that early encouragement is still paying huge dividends. Just goes to show how the right gift at the right time can make a big impact.
