I always say I'll start something like this but I know myself... I don't keep up. :( I simply forget to add to it and after a while it doesn't make sense any more. I do admire people who can keep it up though. :)

Organizational binders are the only things that keep me sane sometimes! I make up a new one for each school year to keep all the kids activities, lesson plans, library books, etcetera. Thanks for the lists of where to find new content pages. : )

My mother-in-law was the best housekeeper I have ever known. She was very organized; I am sure it made life easier. She had a home management binder that included work done on the house so, if something broke, she could just refer to that binder and see that it was purchased on a certain date or that it was repaired on a certain date...she had all the information she needed readily at her finger tips.
  • karendd123 Jun 22, 2010 @ 7:50 pm | delete
Thank you for sharing. I love this page and think the binder will help me.
  • vallain Jun 18, 2010 @ 7:32 am | delete
I feel more comfortable keeping records in binders on a shelf rather than in a file folder in a drawer. Much easier to consult it and update it.

I was lucky enough to get a Franklin Covey planner as part of a leadership training program I'm taking this year, but since I'm an artist I like the idea of these more creative planners. Thank you for the blessing on my drawing roses lens. 5*

I love this! I do use a home management binder, but oh how it needs updating! Adding to my list! Thank you!
  • elmikeo Jan 20, 2010 @ 3:45 am | delete
This is a great idea, thanks for the lens. The only thing that i want to stress to people is that being onna budget is not an excuse to cancel insurance policies. So many people do it when it really is more cost efficient to pay now instead of later. If you have any questions, just ask me.

Great idea! We have so many things to do in a day that we usually forget the littlest details that may come in handy. Having a home management binder would definitely help not only mothers but the entire family. 5*

Can't ever have enough binders, or at least I don't have enough of them yet. They really do help with organization. Makes life a little easier in the long run. Setting them up is time well spend.
I like this lens and it has been blessed!
    Best wishes to you!

Time management is an absolute must!! I will be looking 0ver your binders here!!

    Thank you!!
  • ddixonart Oct 4, 2009 @ 4:21 pm | delete
The household notebook is great to have when there's an emergency, you can just grab it and run out the door, knowing you have your important information in it! It's also important to make sure every family member can use it, in case something happens to YOU! Make sure if grandma's phone number is long distance, that they know to dial a 1 before the area code...I write ours in that way. I also include directions to our house, in case they need to read it to somebody in an emergency call.

I have a love/hate relationship with paper so I have an electronic "control journal" that is based in my email page for my home management. I keep finding functions to improve it all the time!

Oh my goodness what a fabulous idea. I never thought about that (although I have binders for everything else :o) Great lens and thanks. I'm lensrolling this one to my HandyHints lens ('cause it's definitely handy!)

Getting organized is always good. I mainly use my calendar plus a spiral bound notebook for everything.
