    I have 4 shih tzus and they seem to be scratching and itching an awful lot. Fleas are not the issue, I check constantly. I am assuming that it is a food allergy of some sort so have started making their food. I just want the very best for my girls!

    at my vet's suggestion, I've been giving my dog fish oil supplements once a week (dosed for her weight) and they seem to be helping a lot!

    Great lens! I so agree about the homemade dog food being helpful for dogs with allergies. I have read a lot about the subject and it is amazing the stuff that is in some commercial dog food.

    I worked at a vet's office over 20 years ago, and allergies were a big problem then, too. High five for a great lens! I love to see natural treatments for problems like this.

    We could've used this information with our last dog, who had awful skin problems, poor thing! Fortunately we don't need this information right now, but I know where to come if we have a problem!

    We learned to feed our Toller a wheat free diet, otherwise he itches and sheds like crazy.

    we had a bichon who had horrible skin/flee issues..if he got one flee on him he would pull out all of his fur...he looked more like a hairless dog than those cute bichons that I thought I was purchasing..
