The MLM industry average for people needed in your downline to create a residual income of $10,000 a month is 2800. In some companies this number is as high as 16,000. Don't join that company, it will take a lifetime and everyone will quit when they don't see results. Aim lower, ideally 1000 or less. I only need about 350-400.
