One of the greats things about setting up your own gym is the convenience. You can do your workout whenever it suits you; you aren't limited to the opening hours of a commercial gym and there is no travelling time either.
If you are really limited for time you can schedule your exercise in short bursts. A ten-minute workout is feasible at home against the ten minutes plus travelling time for a health club.
If you're worried about the costs of setting up your own home gym then there are a great number of home gym systems on the market with a variety of price ranges. You should therefore be able to find a system that fits your needs in both terms of exercise needs as well as budget.
And if you're really stretched for budget, you can simply invest in a pair of running shoes, a floor mat and fill some empty drink containers with water to use as free weights.
