  • WildFacesGallery Nov 2, 2010 @ 12:38 pm | delete
Never thought of adding chesse to the burger mix, just always stuck over the top. SOunds yummy. My favorite thing next to steak is a grilled burger. :)
  • awelldressedbullet Oct 17, 2010 @ 7:35 pm | delete
Yummy lens! I agree, you can have a great burger, but you must always HAVE a great bun too! I would love to try a bison burger some day, but not even sure we have it anywhere here (we live in a very small rural area)
  • WindyWinters Oct 12, 2010 @ 9:50 pm | delete

  • JoanneOtt Oct 1, 2010 @ 5:10 pm | delete
I love homemade burgers, with beef as well as salmon. Homemade is so much better than the prepared ones. But then anything homemade is usually better!

Great lens! I love the versatility of home-made hamburgers and the array of stuff you can put with them. I'm Australian and we eat more outside than we do inside, this coming summer I suspect a lot of your recipes will end up on my outdoor menu.
  • the777group Sep 12, 2010 @ 4:06 pm | delete
Now you've gone and got me hungry again. Stop that!
  • poddys Sep 11, 2010 @ 12:49 am | delete
Mouthwateringly good :) There is nothing to compare to a good homemade burger, grilled to perfection. The seasonings make all the difference.

We grilled hamburgers just this past weekend. As fun as it is to add seasonings and special toppings, just a standard burger with ketchup and pickles makes my day!
  • Jodi_k Jul 11, 2010 @ 11:56 am | delete
Sounds yummy! Is it lunch time yet? Ooooh, it is!

I've been experimenting with putting a dash of chili sauce in my burgers. Sometimes I use chipotle salsa (works well in meatloaf too).
  • Tipi May 2, 2010 @ 8:56 am | delete

Wow. I love burgers on the grill (in fact, just about anything on the grill). And it's tough to beat a well-crafted hamburger. Mine are always basic--just throw the meat on the grill, and add some ketchup afterward. Your suggestions here take that time-honored tradition to a whole new level. Nice work!

Looks like I'm following Tipi around again (sisters), she just started featuring this little delight of yours--it's 10:00 p.m. and I want a grilled burger NOW! My mouth started watering as I was checking out your suggestions and I want one of everything. We love the charcoal taste, but we didn't care for the lighter fluid, so we got one of those no lighter fluid starters--you put paper in the bottem (it's vented) and the coals on top--light it up and you're on your way with no fluid smell! It works great. I totally agree with you about the bun--a great bun makes a world of difference as does a poor bun. Super ideas you have here!
  • Tipi Apr 8, 2009 @ 7:37 pm | delete
Looks - sounds fantastic. I am going to need to eat something real soon after visiting this lens kiwi. You got my blessings and will be featured on my two grilling lens as soon as I can get to it. I have a couple things to take care of first. - Yummy!
