    We make a huge vat of sauce and have spaghetti for a week and then freeze the rest of it.

    I always add onion (it's not optional in my house :D), I also often add a little diced bacon to the onion and garlic once the onion has softened - 1 or 2 tbsp only. Otherwise our sauces are very similar, I also think if you're using dried herbs then the McCormick one you recommend is awesome.
