Homemade Chocolate
Hello, I am a big fan of homemade chocolate and in this article I want to share with you some of my knowledge. Come on, join me.
There are tons of desserts that use chocolate as their main ingredient, for instance ice scream, cakes, pies, and other dishes. Except few people who don't like chocolate (I still don't get why) everyone loves chocolate. However it can be expansive or annoying to purchase chocolate desserts in the store. Luckily, it is really very easy to make your own homemade chocolate in the comfort of your home. These are some helpful tips:
First of all, you need to prepare all the materials and ingredients you will be using to make your homemade chocolate. The two most important are of course chocolate and the mold both which you can get at any craft store.
First thing you need is obviously chocolate. There are many flavors of chocolate. For example bitter sweet, milk, dark, semi-sweet, sweet and white. These are often sold in blocks if you don't have the time to convert these from cocoa beans.
You will also need another basic ingredient in most homemade chocolate recipes and that's sugar. When you purchase it from grocery, make sure that this does not have any trace of flour, salt or other kitchen ingredients.
Next important ingredient is unsalted butter. We want unsalted butter, because the sort that contains salt is hard to ascertain and it could also spoil the taste of your homemade chocolate or dish. Useful tip: Never use margarine instead of butter, because this would make the cooking time longer as it contains much more water than butter.
There are three basic ways to warm and then liquefy chocolate before shaping it to its final form. You can heat chocolate using the microwave, a double boiler or the oven.
