Welcome to my Holiday Gift Guide - Under $10 Gift For Cookie Eaters!
While you're baking for Christmas, made some extra dough and wrap it for the fridge or freezer, then add some pretty holiday paper on the outside. Just add a set of baking instructions, and your gift is ready.
This gift comes with an attribute that money cannot buy: the enticing aroma of fresh home baking, when they bake the cookies in the coming weeks and months.
The photo shows Slice o' Spice cookies, a vintage refrigerator cookie recipe that calls for wrapping and cooling before baking. The recipe follows, as well as a family favorite version of Chocolate Chip cookies that lends itself to being a cookie dough gift.

Wrap Your Cookie Dough Logs
Many cookie dough recipes can be adapted to make gift dough. Here are my tips:- Form the dough into logs about 8 inches long by 1 ½ inches around.
- Wrap the dough in waxed paper or plastic wrap.
- If you want to freeze the dough, place wrapped logs in a freezer bag, or wrap them individually in foil on top of the waxed paper or plastic wrap.
- Mark each package with name and date, with a fancy tag if you like.
Add pretty paper, foil or ribbon to decorate your cookie dough gifts! The Wilton foil food wrapping paper
Cookie dough in the refrigerator will last about a month. In the freezer, about two months.
