Pumpkin bread is a classic recipe. It can be made with fresh or canned pumpkin. With a few added spices and a little love, this bread is sure to raved about. Don't expect leftovers of this one.

The Recipe

Ingredients

3 Cups sugar
4 Eggs
1 Cup Oil
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
2/3 Cup Water
1 15-Ounce Can Pure Pumpkin
3 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Cup Chocolate Chips (optional)

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together in order with a wooden spoon. Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 70 minutes.

Tip

This bread makes a great gift. Divide the mix among 4-5 mini loaf pans.

*Reduce the bake time to 45 minutes.*

Wrap in cellophane and add a bow. Your friends will thank you.

    I'm not sure what it would taste like with less sugar. If you are worried about the health aspect of it, you could try to substitute with splenda. If you try it with less or another product, let me know how it turns out.
