Fun, Cheap & Easy Ways To Make Your Own Stress Balls At Home
Want to know how to make stress balls? Making stress balls is incredibly easy! Even better, you can make stress balls very cheaply with items that you may already have at home! Here you will find some cheap, fun and easy ways to make homemade stress balls; so simple anyone can make them! Great project to do with little kids, but simple enough that older kids can make them on their own.
Stress balls are great for helping to loosen up stress-tightened muscles, but can also double as exercise balls for people recovering from hand/wrist surgery or injuries. For kids, they make great juggling balls, but I do not advise letting the cat have them!

How To Make Your Own Homemade Stress Balls
Step-By-Step As Easy As 1-2-3
Ready to make your own homemade stress balls?
You will need:
Small to medium kitchen funnel
Millet Seed
Standard Round Balloons
Preparation:
Take 2 or 3 balloons and cut the tops off just above the rounded area, so that all is left is the round part of the balloon.
You will also need 1 uncut balloon.
Instructions:
1. Take the uncut balloon and stretch over the narrow end of the funnel.
2. Place in a tall enough glass that the balloon will sit on the bottom of the glass and the funnel sits on top.
3. Slowly and carefully pour about half a cup of millet seed into the funnel, ensuring it all goes into the balloon.
4. Once the balloon is full to the top of the rounded part, without stretching the balloon, stop filling.
5. Remove the funnel and tie a tight note just above the round part of the balloon. Do not cut off the end of the balloon.
6. Take one of the cut balloons and stretch over the tied millet-filled balloon, ensuring the tied end is covered first.
7. Continue adding more cut balloons, always covering the open end of the previous balloon first. The number of balloons required is dependent upon how strong and thick the balloons are. For good quality, thick balloons, 3 in addition to the filled balloon should be enough. For weaker balloons, 4 or more may be required.
See how easy that is? Now you can make as many homemade stress balls as you want. Great for kids to make, great for kids to play with (carefully). Great gifts for your stressed friends. Not suitable for very small children or pets.
I have seen these made with flour as the main filler, and other powder-type fillers, but should one of your stress balls fall apart, millet seed is considerably easier to clean up.
Hint: With use, your stress ball will become dirty, so you can either clean carefully, or remove the outer balloon and add a fresh one. Have fun with colors!

Not everyone finds following written instructions easy, so watch this video and follow along with the instructions. Short grain Rice can also be used but I personally prefer millet seed because of its round smoothness, which won't cut through the balloon. Some people also make them with flour, but I have not personally tried this as I think millet or rice are much easier to work with, and will be easier to clean up should there be a breakage.
