Enjoy the benefits of making your own bread

Have you ever baked homemade bread? I started making bread many years ago. My mother also made many different kinds of bread through the years. At 84 years of age she still makes bread. I have many favorites but I think the one like the most is honey whole wheat. I also make delicious homemade cinnamon rolls. There are so many breads that you can make...pumpernickel, rye, whole wheat, white, potato, Italian herb, sweet apple walnut Hungry Squidz Choice Awardspice. Even when making these you can very the ingredients used to make differently flavored bread. For an example the honey whole wheat bread can be sweetened with brown sugar or molasses for a different taste. I have changed the way that I make home made bread. Years ago I mixed it by hand but now I use a bread maker to do the mixing using the dough cycle. I then turn the dough out on a floured countertop and shape it into the size and shape that I want. Sometimes it is long and narrow and other times I make it into a round loaf. Then after my shaped loaves of bread rise I bake them in the oven. You will find some of my bread recipes in this lens. Check back because I will be adding more bread recipes over time.

Check Out Some Breadmakers

There are many different bread makers to choose from. Here are a few great choices from Amazon.

At first I made bread with by hand kneading. Years later I purchased a Oster bread machine and have used it since. Lately I use the bread machine on the dough setting to knead and rise the dough. I have found this to be a great way to make bread. The dough cycle takes 1 hour and 30 minutes and after it is over I can shape the bread like I want, let it rise and bake it in the oven.
