This is a super-interesting lens. This topic has been at the back of my mind for several months now. This just might be the nudge I needed to actually make an appointment!

Very good lens! Too many people out there are quick to take pills to cure themselves and end up making their health even worse. People should also consider eating healthier, taking vitamins, exercising, drinking more water...These things might also help with a lot of health conditions.

    Thank you for sharing this.

Great lens, popping a pill does not necessarily cure what ails you, people are far to complex and unique. I think the biggest ailment we have is malnutrition, just look at our groceries stores full of things that I can't honestly say is food!

This is great! Let's spread the word about homeopathy.

Quite a good read, indeed! Blessed by a SquidAngel!

Great debate lens. I've been really considering giving homeopathy a try since nothing else has worked for a particular issue. My concern is that insurance doesn't usually cover it and I can not afford it otherwise. :(

    Enjoyed this lens

I've never read about Allopathy before, thanks for the informative and interesting lens.

Doctors have tried for some 8 years to heal a pain in my foot (plantar faciitis). A natural remedy Rosehip Ultra has done it in a couple of months and also many other twinges and aches have disappeared. I am with homeopathy all the way. Great lens and featured on The Hideous Side of Diabetes
  • MoonMaa Dec 11, 2011 @ 10:42 pm | delete
Homeopathy is the best way to heal oneself and it doesn't have all the side effects. I really enjoyed reading your lens.

Love the monkey speech bubbles in your 1st module under 'Let's Debate' and wonder... how did you DO that? Works great.

Excellent homeopathy VS allopathy debate here. You've discussed the topic thoroughly and formatted this article in a creative and attractive way. *blessed* and featured on my angel blessings lens. By the way I have a very similar lens to this one, also a debate of conventional vs natural medicine.
  • crosscreations Dec 2, 2011 @ 8:12 am | delete
Homeopathy first and allopathy only as a last resort.
  • RANJEET May 22, 2012 @ 3:15 am | delete
YES HOMOEOPATHY IS ALWAYS 1st AND ALOPATHY IS ALWAYS LAST WHICH IS UNABLE TO CURE ANY DISEASE ONLY SUPRESS THE THE DISEASE
  • gottaloveit Dec 1, 2011 @ 1:13 am | delete
I also believe that both have their place but i firmly am on the side of rx drugs which are proven to work (and, yes, I've heard of thalidomide...). I'll still take my chances.
  • ViJuvenate Nov 13, 2011 @ 3:35 pm | delete
I believe they both have their place. First and foremost we ought to be caring for ourselves with good nutrition, natural whole foods, sleep, exercise, etc. Then natural cures are what God created for us to use. However, there are also times when drastic measure must be taken and without modern medications we'd be dead. Pursue natural, unless it's just not enough.

Though I have found that Allopathy gives the fastest and greatest care, it isn't without side effects. I haven't found Homeopathy too be effective in my case but I would suggest people find for themselves what works best. Allopathy has all the advantage of high tech, research and experiments whereas other therapies lack. I have faith in Ayurveda too.

Homeopathy is so sensible I do not understand why more people don't even at least try it! Great lens, thank you!
  • Mirna Sep 24, 2011 @ 2:22 pm | delete
I'm totally for homeopathy. This is a great article.
  • karmicchristian Sep 11, 2011 @ 11:38 pm | delete
Homeopathy in fact helped be get rid of sinusitis permanently! Since that treatment, I have not had a serious bout for just over 20 years! (Before that it was a chronic situation - unbearable!). I don't trust this allopathy - what with potential side-effects and unknown reactions! You have raised a valid debate. :)

This is an important topic because it seems like our society has become over-medicated and reliant on conventional medicine as they see it as a quick-fix. Healthy living should really be a lifestyle which will help people live healthy and happy lives, and thereby lessen the burden on the health care system as well. I don't understand why governments don't do much about it, but then again, they are hand-in-glove with the Big Pharma companies.

I think the exact same think myself every time I take my girls to their check up to our homeopath. Even worse, Croatia is I think the only European country where homeopathy is still far from being accepted as a health care option, although more and more doctors are visiting homeopaths on regular basis. How's that for a hypocrisy?! Thanks so much for stopping by, I always enjoy your comments :)

Really, when you open your eyes to the truth and to reality, the choice is a quite simple one! Thanks for bringing this out into the open.

Great lens on a great subject! My cousin in Austria is a Homeopathic doctor and he has an amazing amount of patients...he started me on Infludo, for a flu and cold back in 1980, they are drops I buy now on line from an Apothecary in Chicago...I have not had the flu since 1980 and only a few mild colds only because I waited too long to start taking the drops. what will work for one might not work for another, this goes for conventional medicine as well.
  • MarkUpshaw Nov 14, 2010 @ 5:33 pm | delete
Great start on this lens. Of course, its the dialogue that makes duels work. I hope this helps people consider their lifestyles and use preventative measures rather than wait until they need to see a doctor in an emergency.
