How many trips have you spent to the drug store in search of a solution? How many bottles of products have you tried to clean, exfoliate, tone, and moisturize your skin? Have you ever found yourself picking up the phone in response to empty promises of clear skin made by late night infomercials? How much money do you think you've spent on the science experiment you call skin?

Don't worry; my answers to those questions are probably very similar to yours. The truth is clear skin does not have to be this complex. And don't worry, if you don't want to take the time to experiment with these home remedies I'll also include a link to the acne treatment I found, use daily, and it actually works!

One for every day of the week

  3. Ingredients: 1 tbsp. of gram flour, 1/4 tsp. orange peel powder, 1 tbsp. beaten yogurt, 1 tsp. olive oil.
Mix ingredients well and apply paste on your face and neck allowing it to dry. Rinse with warm water first then cold water.
  4. Ingredients: 1/4 tsp. of limejuice, one tsp. of milk and cucumber juice.
Apply to face and neck. Wash off after 14 minutes.
This cleanses and purifies pores of skin.
  5. Ingredients: papaya, honey, milk and milk powder.
Mix and apply on the face. Let sit for a few minutes then wash off.
  6. Ingredients: 1/2 tsp of rose water, 1 tsp of honey.
Gently apply to the face. Leave it for about 15-20 minutes. Wash off with tepid water.
  7. Slices of cucumbers applied to the eyes refresh and relieve puffiness and they are great cleansers when sliced and rubbed over your face. The same holds true for slices of fresh tomatoes.

My Personal Secret

To Clear Skin

Now the purpose of this lens was for me to do the research on home remedies for zits so you don't have to. This isn't the path that I personally chose and I'll explain why. I am one of the unfortunates whose acne didn't end after my teens and even being an adult male, it affected my self esteem, pride and confidence in nearly all areas of my life. I tried everything I could get my hands on, from over the counter topical treatments to prescription drugs and even Proactiv. I have however been fortunate enough to find a product that really works and it has truly changed my life. These remedies are said to work for some people but not only am I sick and tired of experimenting with my face, but I don't have the time or the patience. (I also wouldn't want anyone seeing me with cucumbers and veggie dip on my face - it's a male ego thing)

In all seriousness, if nothing seems to work for you; if nothing completely rids your skin of all signs of acne, then you really should visit the ClearPores website. It is an absolute miracle that I am happy to pass on to anyone who needs it.

Whatever path you choose, good luck! I hope you found this lens useful.
