Homeschool Literature: Books About Homeschoolers

The very first directory of books featuring homeschoolers.

We read and review any short-story, picture book, or novel that relates to homeschooling. The site gives parents and children the chance to find books that talk about situations they can relate to. The idea was inspired by some efforts on the homeschool online website.

I did research by consulting with homeschool moms discussion forums to see if there was real interest in a homeschool literature directory. I found that even customized homeschool language arts courses did not have any real substantative effort to include literature that included homeschoolers.

Here are eight of the authors who have written books featuring homeschoolers.

David Almond

- Michael was looking forward to his new house and neighborhood, until his infant sister became very ill. Now his parents are constantly frantic, the scary doctor is always coming around, and Michael feels helpless.
