Classes and Educational Programs for Homeschoolers

My kids have attended a homeschool enrichment program almost since they began homeschooling. I like to call them homeschool "schools". We have mostly taken advantage of the Arts programs offered, but have done a few of the academic programs available, especially during the difficult middle school years. Our favorite program is Artios Academies, But there are many to choose from in and around Gwinnett County.

Park Days and Forums

Park Days change from year to year and park to park, but the important thing to know is that homeschoolers pick certain days at each park, so weather permitting, if you go there on a particular day, other homeschoolers will be there to meet up.

To stay up to date on Park days, you should join the PEACHhomeschool email loop.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PEACHHomeschool/

Here is my most up to date park day information:

Collins Hill Park: Friday 12:30
Peachtree Ridge Park: Friday 10-12
Tribble Mill Park Day Friday 1 to 3

Forums are great for online communication with other homeschoolers. They are a great way to get encouragement and to get questions answered fast.
