Homeschooling The Fun Way

Homeschool should be fun and the learning will come naturally! You do not need to spend a lot of money to educate your children at home. You would be amazed at the free resources available to you online and at your local library. I will be adding ideas here for you to add to your homeschool education resource list, as well as ideas on getting started.

What Works For Us!

We follow an interest led learning approach. Making things fun increases the desire to learn and grow interest. Homeschooling does not have to be expensive, in fact you can find pretty much anything you need online and in your libraries!

Join 4H

Free and Fun

When you think of 4H you probably have a vision of Pigs and Cows. Well, 4H is a lot more than that! 4H has a lot of different classes. Last year my daughter was in Gavel Club, Drama, Photography, Food & Nutrition, Entomology, Education Presentation and Public Speaking as well as many opportunities for community service.

Being in 4H and entering competitions has really improved her self confidence. I can't even tell you how many medals and ribbons the girl won last year. Tonight we will be attending the Gold Star Banquet where she will receive her 4-H Jacket for her district win in Education presentation!

Guess how much 4H is...

FREE! 4H costs you nothing to join. Sometimes you may have a small supply fee for things you need for your projects and that is it! You can contact your local extension office to find out more about the 4H clubs in your area.

Story Time

A library freebie

If you have young children, try to attend story time at the library. This program is free and usually consists of a few books being read as well as crafts. Normally the crafts are geared towards the theme of story time for that day. We try to attend this free resource as much as we can. The little ones have a great time and also get to make new friends.
