A little about honest golf club reviews
If you have ever read a golf club review in a magazine or on some of the excellent golf sites that are online, you might like me have been a little frustrated at the fact that they are sometimes a little too technical and in many cases written by a golfer who has no handicap.
Well I read these and became increasingly frustrated at the fact that when I managed to get my hands on golf clubs they were nothing like I was promised in the review. So I started to review clubs myself on my Golf Club Review website which contains not only honest reviews of clubs but also , balls, bags, courses and gives some golf swing tips as well.
What is an Honest Golf Club Review?
If its being sold for profit irs not always honest!
As I mentioned in the introduction to this lense it isn't always the level of golfer carrying out the review but sometimes the fact that the person who is writing the review is giving you the "ITS FANTASTIC" review on a club that isn't actually that good.I spent the day at a Nike Golf Demo day a few weeks back and I was given the chance to test drive their new driver which I had read some great reviews on and many people including Tiger Woods were singing the praises of the club. Personally I wasn't overly impressed and on its release I will be putting an honest review of why I wasn't impressed.
Golf clubs are built for the different kinds of golfers, Tiger Woods will not use the new SQ square driver because it hits too straight, so what does that mean for a golfer like you and me? Thats an honest review that will give the correct impression of the club. A golf pro who is paid to say the club is fantastic isn't giving the correct impression of the club in my eyes.
The same goes for the golf store that is looking to increase sales of the latest and greatest (and of course the most profitable) isn't going to tell you that after five good drives the paint on the top of the casing starts to crack and flake off are they?
