XoftSpySE Review

XoftSpySE is a product created by Paretologic who are very well respected when it comes to computer security software.

XoftSpySE is a much more advanced and updated version of its sister product XoftSpy - which received some poor reviews.

Interface:

XoftSpySE's interface is simple and easy to use. If offers many more options than it's sister product. Within a few minutes you will easily be able to use the product and find your way around the various features.

Features:

XoftSpySE has all of the typical features and capabilities that a state of the art anti spyware program has.

These include:

- Scanning windows registry and running processes

- Scanning files and folders on all local drives

- The "schedule" option allowing you to perform scans during off-hours

- Protecting IE default settings against browser hijackers

- Displays information about detected threats - their locations, authors, types and danger levels.

- Restore function

- Ability to quarantine infected files

Performance:

As mentioned before, XoftSpySE is significantly better than its sister product XoftSpy. Its database contains over 200,000 entries and so it doesn't miss much!

This database is updated very regularly making it capable of removing the most recent spyware and adware infections.

Pro's & Con's:

Effective tool to remove spyware, adware & malware.

There is a lot of information about detected threats so that the user can understand the problem, if required.

The software scans your PC very quickly without missing out threats which many other spyware removers are guilty of.

- We honestly haven't found one yet!

Summary:

Paretologic in the past released a very poor product, called XoftSpy. They have now completely changed the product and released XoftSpySE which is a superb program heading the right direction. It's features and performance are very high quality.
