National Penguin Awareness Day
It's that time of year again: National Penguin Awareness Day is today, Jan. 20, 2011.
When it comes to unheralded national days celebrated in January, this one blew the COUNTRYLUTHIER's socks off. This event marked each year on January 20th is a festival to make us aware of changes in our world and in the habitat of the much beloved penguin. I say Honk if You love Penguins on that day or come up with your own unique way to celebrate the penguin and what it means to you. Pick out one of the many species of penguin and learn somethiing about the flightless bird.. This day will help esnure that many of the species are around a little longer. Numerous penguins are being forced into extinction by enviornments varying from year to year. This makes National penguin awareness day extremely important.
Don't make it difficult. National Penguin Awareness Day can be shared with with those you associate or love.
Here are a few ways the COUNTRYLUTHIER may just celebrate.
1. Put a Black and White sign on your penguin mobile saying "Honk if YOU Love Penguins!!"
2. Forward an email around with your favorite Penguin Pic.
3. Go see that movie with Jim Carey in it that has the penguins, Mr. Poppers Penguins or buy it.
4. Draw a penguin or two on something.
5. Waddle like a penguin some time during National Penguin awareness day.
Vistit a Zoo or habitat and appreciate them in person.

- I have a natural waddle, as Staples says, That was easy! Got most of the list done and will do even better next year. Just found about Penguin awareness this year. Thanks a gazillion for visiting, waddling and or honking!

- Penguins are lovely little creatures -- we have them here in South Africa. I saw the ones near Betty's Bay, very cute and friendly penguins.I like that they don't bite.

- Penguins have been a favorite of mine for almost 30 years. My nephew is a penguin. He was born on the artic circle and flies. Find the error. :)
