Everything...Honor Bright - The Honor Bright Fan Site

Honor Bright was formed in Syracuse, NY in early 2006. The band was originally known as Trouble On The Dance Floor and included vocalist/guitarist Liam DiCosimo, guitarist/backing vocalist Tim Paige, bassist Anthony Merritt and drummer Curt Henry, who was added "after several auditions and a month long search" (according to their MySpace blog posted on 2/18/06.) They recorded a 3-song acoustic demo EP at local SubCat Studios in March '06. The band's name was changed to Honor Bright to avoid confusion with similarly-named group, Panic at the Disco. Later that year, Ryan Gilmore was added on guitars allowing DiCosimo to focus as the group's frontman. Their musical style is probably best described as pop-punk along the lines of Taking Back Sunday, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, and Cartel. They released their self-titled 5-song EP in 2006. On June 3, 2007, the band released their full-length album "Build Hearts From Stars". Their extensive tours, opening for bands such as Cartel, Anberlin and Boys Like Girls (see photos below) have taken them throughout the Northeast and Midwest. The band's follow up disc, "If This Was A Movie" was released on August 1, 2008, just a few days after their appearance on the Buffalo, NY date of the Vans Warped Tour and their performance on MTV's TRL! In October 2008, the band took a huge step by signing with The Artery Foundation Artist Management who have built an impressive lineup with bands like Alesana, The Devil Wears Prada and A Static Lullaby. In December 2008, Aux Records re-released "Build Hearts From Stars" with two bonus acoustic tracks. In 2009, the band has played several tours including the "Bringing Back The Fanny Pack Tour" (along with Lights Out Dancing). They were featured in the unsigned artists section of both AP (Alternative Press) and AMP (American Music Press) magazines in the Spring of 2009. Paige also performs under the appropriately-named solo project, The Brilliant Light and released the CD "A Healing Is Due" on Aux Records. In early 2009, they were featured in the unsigned band sections of both Alternative Press (AP) and American Music Press (AMP) magazines. For the second consecutive year, Honor Bright won a spot on the Van's Warped Tour. This time winning AP's AP&R fan vote for the opportunity to play the Cleveland date.
