Inspiring Hula Hoopers on YouTube
There are a lot of hula hoop videos on YouTube. Thousands! I've gone through several hundred of them, picked out the good ones and organized them by category. This website will lead you to them all. Have fun watching them. Perhaps they'll inspire you, too!
(I just love this photo! It's from a Flickr: user nycjournal.)
Learn Hula Hoop Tricks
For beginners and experienced hula hoopers alike
- Hoop Trick Vids on YouTube
- This YouTube group, Learn Hoop Tricks, is by far my most popular. Here you can watch dozens of hoopers show you how to do specific hoop tricks, from easy and basic moves to some pretty complex hoop moves.

Hula Hoop Dancing, Moves, Style & Flow
Watch "The Hoop Masters," everyday people, kids and men hoop in their own style
- Hula Hoop Dance, Style & Flow
- This is a big collection of hoop vids, showing many different hoop expressions and personal styles of hoop movement. I get so inspired seeing the variety of hoopstyles. I hope you will too.
- Men CAN Hoop: A Collection of Gentlemanly Hoopers
- When handed a hoop and encouraged to "Just try it!" many men have been known to say, "I can't hoop, I don't have hips." Well, boys, men, lads and dudes, MEN CAN HOOP ... and often extremely well. (Think about all that upper body strength you MenFolk tend to have, add a hoop, and you're golden.)
- Kid Hoopers: A hula hoop video collection
- The next generation of hoopers is already here! Watch these videos as some small in height -- yet great in capacity -- kids show how the hoop dance is done.
- The Hoop Masters
- The videos in this collection are of, what I believe to be, the hoop masters. Enjoy! (I'm sure there are many more out there. I just haven't seen all their videos yet.)
- CompetitiveHooping
- OK, so they compete. Competition isn't quite the spirit with which most hoops come to the hoop, but these girls are a sight to watch, nonetheless.

Hoop Tricks: Raising Hoop from Waist to Above Head
How to get your hula hoop from your waist up above your head, relatively gracefully, and then to "lasso" the hoop above you. The hooper here (my lovely sister) is using a hoop made of 160 psi irrigation tubing in a 3/4" width. The hoop is approximately 43" in diameter. Beyond the Heavy Hoop
Huge hoops, multiple hoops, little hoops, fire hoops and LED hoops!
- Multiple HoolaHoops
- Here you'll find a collection of videos of hoopers using two or more hoops. There's some beautiful style and hoopgroove action here. I hope you enjoy these videos, and remember to give folk some stars or to post a comment on YouTube if you like their videos.
- Huge Metal Hoops - The Art of Roue Cyr
- People inside of large metal rolling hoops. It's a site to be seen and a performance art form to be respected. Great stuff.
- Small Hoops ... Big Tricks
- Here's a small (and growing) collection of videos where folk use rather small hoops. More focus on hand hooping and phenomenal dexterity rather than on body hooping.
- LED HulaHoops (They Light Up!)
- If you think hoopdancing is absolutely beautiful, just wait until you've seen some of these videos of people hooping with LED (lit) hoops.
- Fire Hooping
- If human nature is to gather 'round a fire, then get a little closer and watch some of these jaw-dropping videos of hoopers dancing with fire hoops.

I tried to contact you, but you do not have your contact open. Do you want to submit your lenses to this Hula Hooping group? http://www.squidoo.com/groups/hula-hoops We will feature them on the page if you would like. Just add them to the group and I'll do the rest. I love your lenses and would be honoured if I could include them. =)

How to Find other Hoopers
... in your home town and across the globe
Also, look for a local hoop group on tribe.net. Many hooping tribes are created around locale. (You have to join tribe.net first.)
Then, of course, there's the option of using a basic Google search, too.
