- I was a horse crazy kid - but haven't been near a horse in a very long time.
I like the way you set out this lens and reviewed each product.

- Nice, these would be great for a horse crazy kid. I had to settle for reading Black Stallion books ;)

- I always wanted a horse, but unfortunately it wasn't to be in my youth. I am looking to do it soon, though, in my old age.
I love a book called, "Everything Bad for You Is Good for You" where the author makes the scientific argument that modern TV and video games are stimulating to the brain and there for good for intelligence AND staving off dementia as we age.
Are these games stimulating to the brain besides just fun? If so I will have to add a link to this lens from mine. http://www.squidoo.com/Youngbrain
Let me know what you think!

- Nice job! It's good to see stuff on horse games. :)
I have Lucinda Green's Equestrian Challenge; it's enjoyable, but in my opinion not quite as fun as Equestriad. It's similar, but not hard enough in areas and too hard - frustrating, even - in others (I played it on PS2). I also played the Rosemond Hills games a while ago - I enjoyed them (three years ago? more? my memory is a little foggy), but they will without a doubt show their age. There is also little variation between horses, and I remember the gray horses look positively green.
I am looking forwards to seeing how Horsez is. I was put off by the box design (and the name) myself.
A suggestion - "Saddle Up, Time to Ride." I think there are two versions? The one I played was entertaining, despite some VERY painful "creative" mini-games and a... "unique" plot. Even so, it's certainly worth a try - although I'm not sure how old it is and how hard it would be to find.
And seconding the Barbie suggestion. The game is surprisingly fun!

- Thank you very much for your comment M-Girl! It's great to hear other people's reviews of horsey games. I'll be sure to check out the Barbie game, it's not one I would have thought of having on here.
Thanks to everyone else as well for your lovely comments :-)

- I have the game: Lets Ride, silver buckle stables and it's not too bad, but it can get boring after a while because there isn't much to do once you have done all the competitions. A couple fetures i do like about this game is that you can do competitions mulplayer, you can ride your horse around in the hills, and you can have up to 4 costomised horses. One game that is not up here is Barbie Horse adventures: Wild Horse Rescue...yeah it sounds kind of dumb but it's kinda fun bacause you can take your horse on many different trails and sometimes catch horses. I hope this is useful information and I enjoyed looking at the differebt games

- Agree that every girl has a horsey thing, funnily enough some men do as well. My brother had a stud and him and my dad lived for horse racing. Keep up the great work
