Where to Find Good Horse Trailers for Sale

Where to look for good horse trailers for sale

There are three parts to looking for good horse trailers.

First you need to decide exactly what you want.

Then you need to track down that exact horse trailer.

And finally you need to buy it for the right price.

The way I go about this is quite simple really. These are the steps I go through:

1. Write down exactly what I will be using the trailer for. E.g. carrying 2 small ponies or transporting one large horse, long journeys, overnight stays, temporary stabling at an event, carrying loads of tack and accessories, transporting foodstuffs, transporting other household goods or hardware, rough terrain work, mainly road work etc.

2. Ask everyone I meet who I know owns a trailer how happy they are with their trailer and make a note of their comments. Particularly note which makes and sizes seem to be highly regarded.

3. Carry out Internet research. In particular I read "reviews". Beware of "review" sites that carry too much advertising. Look for independent reviews.

4. Once I have decided; the make of trailer i want, the size and how much I am prepared to pay, I go straight to ebay look for an exact match and start bidding.

I put in bids on lots of different horse trailers for sale. My strategy is to assume that most people haven't done thorough research like I have and aren't clear about exactly what they want.

By bidding on lots of trailers I get into tracking them. I only bid on the one that I actually want.

When it gets close to the closing time (i.e. for the last hour) I stay online all the time watching to see if anyone else is going to come in at the last minute and over bid me.
