Buddy's Relationship With the Vet
Hey! I am new to the Squidoo thing, so it might take me a while to figure things out.
Like my bio says, I have two horses with almost no brains. One is an Appendix named Buddy. The other is a Thoroughbred named Lucy, also known as Lucifer. Lucy has strained a tendon from breaking into the hay barn and stepping through a board. The vet came recently to check on her leg, and she went into the pasture to do it. Buddy came over and was, well, friendly. VERY friendly. In fact, he simply could not leave her alone.
Buddy is very itchy. He will do ANYTHING to be scratched. The vet, knowing exactly where to scratch, did just that when Buddy walked up.
Buddy's usual response to this is to stretch out his neck, close his eyes, move his lips, and act just like most cats do: Lean into it. Now, this is fine with cats. Cats weigh about 10 pounds, so it is not that much weight that is leaning against you. Buddy, however, weighs about 1,100 pounds. And when he puts his (heavy!) chin on your head, it makes you feel like you are now several inches shorter.
This is what happened to the vet. She asked what his name was, and when we told her, she said, "Of course!"

- Good start! Maybe you could add some photos of your horses, and maybe tell a little more about each of them in separate modules so we can "get to know" them better. :)

- You have to love this girl. And her horse. Of which she just has one and the other is her mother's. Ahem. Well-written, insightful and getting more experienced all the time. Trust me. If this girl doesn't know the answers now, she's working every day to learn more about horses. This would be true even if I weren't her mom.
