I love horses, but it took me ages to get my insurance sorted out so heres my page!
I'm currently have my equine insurance here. By the way, check out this beauty - aren't they the most wonderful of creatures?
This is one of my favourate pictures.
Are you getting the cover with or without loop-holes?
A note on things to watch out for in the small print
There are many different insurance companies that offer so many different plans and options when you go to buy insurance for your animal. We all love our horses, and we all want the best for them, so of course we want to make sure that their cover will allow for all eventualities. Yet the small print remains to try and undermine the reasons we bought the insurance in the first place, for example, if (in the unfortunate eventuality) you have to put your horse down for humane grounds following an injury of accident, some policies wouldn't cover it! It is important to look carefully before choosing. Below are my top 4 things that the policy should cover that they may not:1)Firstly as I said, destruction of your horse for humane reasons. This is called death cover, or specifically ARM - all risks of mortality.
2)Caper, crime, filching, heist, larceny, pilferage, robbery. You must have theft cover!
3)Permanent loss of use.
4)Keep an eye out for added extra's. Example, is VAT included? Not just in the initial cost of the policy but also in the excess's you may have to pay should something happen?
