Western decor with horse pictures in it, reminds me of the days I spent on the ranch with my grandparents. We branded cattle in the spring, shipped them in the fall, moved them to and from summer pasture. At night, we watched western movies on black and white television and the horses stood at the window outside and watched it with us.

In Montana, when the weather has been dry, the hills turn the same color as a buckskin horse. This is a monochromatic painting, where the entire painting looks like it's been painted with variations of the same color.That's why I call this painting, Buckskin in Camouflage. He's the same color as the landscape!
