Need a Hostess Gift?

If you are attending a party this holiday season or a summer BBQ outdoor party you may want to pick up the host and hostess a gift to say "thank you".

A hostess gift shows good manners and tells your host/hostess that you appreciate the effort they put forth in the party and the fact that they invited you.

Hostess gifts don't have to be expensive, just a small gesture of appreciation.

Some good host gift ideas for him might be personalized coasters or cigars...a nice hostess gift for her might be some luxury bath soaps or scented candles.

Some people take this form of etiquette quite seriously and maybe, if you want to be invited back to next years party it's not such a bad idea to let the host or hostess know you appreciated them this time around.

Yes, but then I'm just like that, I always bring a little "something something". The type of event and host will dictate what I may bring. And depending on the event, may give the gift to the host in private, so not to embarrass others who may not have.
