Pepper Hot Chocolate with mini Marshmallows and Whipped Cream
This is my own recipe, I made it up, implemented it and the result was YUMMY!
- Serves: 2
- Prep Time: 5 minutes or less
- Total Time: Depends on your own speed
Okay I admit it that I am quite abnormal when it comes to cooking. I always add the oddest ingredients in my recipes and somehow they turn out real good. Thank god for that otherwise I would have got into big troubles with my family members and friends. I didn't tell my family members this hot chocolate had pepper in it until they asked me in a positive way.
Ingredients
- Instant Hot chocolate powder- 3 1/2 Tables spoons
- Mini Marshmallows-2-3 Tea spoons
- Black pepper powder-1/2 Tea spoon
- Sugar-1 1/4 Table spoon
- Milk- 3 Cups
- Whipped cream-As much as you like
- Hot water- just enough to make a thick paste
- Crunchy biscuits-I prefer cookies
Instructions
1. Add the hot chocolate powder into a bowl or a big cup or what ever microwavable.
2. Add some hot water, just enough to make a thick paste.
3. Now add the milk and microwave for about 3-4 minutes until its hot [not boiling hot].
4. Take out the bowl or cup, add in the pepper and sugar and stir well.
5. Pour the hot chocolate into two separate cups and add in the mini marshmallows.
6. Next the whipped cream on top of each cup.
7. Sprinkle some chocolate powder on top of the cream or chocolate sauce and serve with preferred type of biscuits.
The reason for adding the marshmallows and cream separately is so that it can be adjusted to suit the person's desire. Some may choose to have more cream and some less marshmallows.

Mocha Coconut Frappuccino
Coffee made with Chocolate and Coconut touch

- Serves: 1
- Prep Time: 25 minutes
- Total Time: 30-40 minutes
Sri-Lankans love coconuts so I cannot be blamed for liking this recipe. One thing though, it takes slightly more effort than other coffee recipes. Why? because the shredded coconuts need to be toasted in the oven for about 15-20 minutes!
Ingredients
- Shredded coconut- 1/2 cup
- 3/4 cup Strong coffee chilled
- 1/2 Cup low fat Milk
- 1/3 Cup Hershey`s chocolate syrup
- Granulated Sugar-3 Table spoons
- 2 Cups ice
- 1/2 Cup Whipped cream
- canned
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Spread shredded coconut on a baking sheet and toast coconut in the oven.
3. Stir the coconut around every 10 minutes or so for even browning.
4. After 15-20 minutes, the shredded coconut should be light brown.
5. Cool it off and make double strength coffee by brewing twice the coffee required by your coffee maker [if you have one].
6. That should be 2 table spoons of ground coffee per cup of coffee.
7. Chill the coffees and add it with milk, toasted coconut, chocolate syrup and sugar in a blender.
8. Blend for 15-20 seconds to dissolve sugar.
9. Add the ice and blend until ice is crushed and the drink is smooth.
10. Pour drinks into two 16-ounce glasses.
11. Add the whipped cream on top of each glass with a drizzle of chocolate and a pinch of some of the remaining toasted coconut.
12. Add a straw to each one and enjoy the delicious Mocha Coconut Frappuccino!
Shredded coconut in a Packet!
Makes life much easier..well at least for this recipe.

- For my hot chocolate, I make it with milk, a little simple syrup, and dark or milk chocolate bars. I boil the milk a little then combine the ingredients and top it off with some vanilla extract and a cinnamon stick. If I'm sick, I add a dash of cayenne pepper to give it a little kick. For coffee, I just add Baileys!

- Great lens. Im a coffee man over hot chocolate but my tip for hot chocolate is to use a small amount of milk with the chocolate powder to make a paste, heat that in the microwave and then add in about half milk again and heat until starts to froth. Add in the rest of the milk and give one quick microwave zap again.

- I like a little salt in my coffee or hot chocolate. My dad did it and I learned to love it that way. Pepper is a new thing. I'll certainly be trying that one since I LOVE pepper.
