Hot Pot Simple Solar Cooker Reviews
here's what others think about the hot pot solar cooker
I have been looking for a solar oven for some time and just didn't want something that took up half my kitchen for storage. Found the Hot Pot and it is absolutely perfect! Folds up and sits with my cookbooks on the countertop. Of course, the bowls are larger but easier to store than a larger model of sun oven. I have baked bread, pork chops, pork roast, a whole chicken, stew, mac and cheese and chili so far. I live in a valley in northern California and even though the instructions say it doesn't work in the wind - well it does. I have a gale-force wind every afternoon and this baby has done its job. I have used an alternative pan for cooking mac and cheese. I tried bread in just a bread pan and that didn't work too good because there was no insulation around the pan (will probably try putting the loaf pan inside a glass loaf pan and try again. The first batch of bread I made in the bowls that come with the cooker and worked just fine. I can think of all kinds of recipes to use this with. I think it is wonderful and am buying it for birthday presents and Xmas gifts for friends and family. I'm even going to try to can some tomatoes this year with it. Absolutely LOVE this product!

"I have purchased the solar hot pot for myself as well as gifts for friends and family. The hot pot performs as advertised, is easy to set up and use and is a lot of fun to cook with. It does great chilli, beef stew and great ham and beans. I set it up around 10:30 AM centerd to where the sun will be at 2:00 PM and simply leave it alone. It stays hot untill diner time around 5:00 to 6:00 PM."
